Space-Cowboy-KRJ

I'm out in the Mojave desert of southern California now working for the navy.  It's been good times so far with no end in sight.  Work is awesome, I'm buying a house, and I'm learning to fly.  Life is good.

That's basically what I've been up to.  I've survived my first year of grad-school.  Thankfully. I'm doing some biking now.  I'm lucky enough to live right next to the Katy Trail so I'm taking advantage of it.  I'm also building a recumbent bicycle with my brother so we'll see how that project goes.

Well it's been a while since I've posted anything here, be it art or journal. Actually more than a little while now that I think of it. More like a long while. So it's time to remedy this. Here we go... I've been trying some painting. Mostly acrylic on canvas-board or canvas pad. I actually really like it. Usually I'm a detail addict so photography is my normal fix. But paint does give me something else photography won't do, It can let me go completely free form. If I can imagine it in principle I can paint it. I say in principle because I still suck at paintwork. So mostly I stick to abstract work or crazy experiments. I'm posting two that
